Meet the SuperintendentWorking in the Early Childhood field since 1990, I have served hundreds of children and their families, and know how important it is to parents to select the right program for their child. Our program nurtures and enriches the young child, while coaching parents to enable their child to succeed in life. I served as the very first director of our very first Hearts and Hands Christian Childcare & Preschool in 2003. I was promoted to my current position in 2008.
As Superintendent, I ensure that all Hearts & Hands sites are in compliance with the values that we have adopted for our program. I oversee staff and leadership development plans and center inspections to ensure quality across the board. I am also responsible for the implementation of our Stepping Stones Curriculum for all grade levels. I see all of these as vital to making sure your child will receive the utmost care and a great foundation for their beginning years.
Our Values: Safety, Love and Excellence are values that are very important to us and are listed in order of importance. We take each one of these very seriously and regularly evaluate each one. I visit each site weekly to encourage the overall Hearts & Hands program, including director and staff development and site safety.
Staff Development: Each year, staff are required to complete 15-20 hours of development to help enrich the education they have already received in their Early Childhood Education Field. This is on top of each staff staying certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid for Children, Infants and Adults. (These workshops are developed specifically to meet the needs of our Hearts & Hands employee’s.)
We believe that accountability and good leadership are the foundation of our excellent program. Parents can be assured that our core values and leadership are carefully monitored and evaluated regularly.
Leadership Development: All Site Directors, Assistant Directors and Master Teachers have a yearly Leadership plan set into place where goals are set, book assignments are assigned and completed, mentorship plans set into place and a full Directors Planning Retreat is done each year.
Quality Control and Center Inspections: Each center has 25 unannounced site inspections per year. This is done by our Mystery Shopper reviews, Superintendent site inspections and from our CA State Licensing Analyst.
Through implementing these specific areas, with affordable pricing, into our Hearts and Hands program, we ensure the values of Safety, Love and Excellence your child and family deserve each day and throughout your experience with us at any of our centers.
It is my joy to serve your family as we seek to provide the very best care for your child.
