The last week of October we learned about St. Jude’s Children Hospital and Bike Safety. We discussed the importance of helping others. There are children in this world that are very sick and need our help. The children raised money to send to the children of St. Jude’s. For their effort in raising money we held a Trike-A-Thon on Friday, October 31st. The children brought their bikes and helmets from home, we set up a path for the kids and they were off! During the week we talked about bike safety. Always wearing your helmet, be careful near driveways and never ride in the street. St. Jude’s had sent us a package of all the items we would need. There were coloring books for each child, stickers, one for each day of the week for each child and a DVD that talked about the 3 important bike safety rules!
Our goal was to raise $800! The parents and kids here at HHSJ are amazing because they raised $1,235! Can you believe that?/! Thank you so much to all who donated. There will be more birthdays celebrated by children with each donation! May the Lord bless us all and continue to watch over us.
